Carl has an empathetic, non-judgemental and warm approach makes you feel comfortable and at ease, creating space for you to share and work through your worries, challenges, and find solutions to your problems. Carl believes that people want to grow, learn, and move towards their undecided potential. He does not wish to change your thoughts, feelings, or sensations; instead, he wants to help you become aware of, assess, and change your relationship to these events. He feels he can empower you to find and develop the tools within yourself to support positive change and he wants to enable you to pursue value-driven behaviour.
Carl’s therapy and approach are shaped by ACT, solution-focused therapy, and compassion-focused therapy. He has been working as a psychologist for over 10 years and has experienced various performance and well-being settings including professional sport, health and workplace environments. Carl obtained his PhD in Psychology at the University of Bath in 2020 and has a Master’s degree in Sport Performance Psychology.
