My background
Over the past 5 years, I've worked as a therapist in the NHS, charities, schools, and in private practice. I can work with all ages but am an experienced young adult counsellor, specialising in working with those aged 16-30. I have a degree in psychology and a master's in counselling.
My master's trained me in an integrative approach to therapy, which means I use different techniques to best suit your needs. I work in a trauma-informed, client-centred way and also draw on CBT, systemic and psychoanalytic techniques. I can support you to heal from childhood trauma, improve self-worth, navigate relationship difficulties, and better tolerate difficult or distressing emotions. I can also help you to explore and find tools to cope with anxiety, stress, anger, and low mood. To me, the relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of therapy. I will therefore make sure you feel comfortable and safe in our sessions.
